The company under 20 words:
We are a B2B AirBnB that connects any company with industrial parks in China.
How has COVID-19 impacted the company / business?
Because of COVID-19, companies are fighting for survival and any internationalization plans will now take a back seat. Many of our clients are delaying their expansion plans. On top of that, because of travel restrictions, we have to postpone all our study trips.
What are some of the adjustments you had to make in order to minimize disruptions?
We experimented and introduced new digital products and services. For example, while business owners and executives can no longer travel to China, they will still want to stay abreast of the developments there. For this, we created www.86insider.com, where we offer a neutral and credible source of the latest happenings and insights on contemporary China, covering social norms, digital economy, technology and policies.
Name one technology / platform which you find useful in these times and why?
Kenvai. I use that every day for my group meetings; there’s video-recording, screen sharing, document editing, translation and e-signature. All in one.
Are you currently working from home? If so, how has it been in terms of efficiency?
Yes – it’s equally efficient (no impact!)! We already work from home on some days before COVID-19 because we have to stay nimble. On days where my team member does not have any meetings (external and internal), he or she can choose to work from home. So, we are not affected in terms of efficiency.
Any shout-outs / rants you would like to add on
Hang in there, everyone!
