[Founder Feature@TC] October 2020
Name: Quah Zheng Wei, Founder & CEO, 28yo, Singaporean
Technopreneur Circle member: Since January 2020
Company: Accredify (SaaS (Software as a Service)
Website: https://accredify.io
Fun facts about me:
I’ve always doubted myself as the CEO of the company due to my introversion. That’s until I read a book by Susan Cain that changed my mind – Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. Highly recommended for those Introverted CEOs!
The company under 20 words:
Accredify enables organisations to issue digital tamper-proof credentials such as academic credentials and healthcare records.
What my company name & logo means:
Accredify is made up from the words Accreditation and Verify. The upright tick represents our business in authentication, while the inverted tick symbolises harmony and trust.
Why I started the company & my journey so far:
I am obsessed with solving complicated problems with simple solutions. Credentials verification has been one of the biggest pain in both education advancement and job applications, especially those of international nature. Yet the current reality of operating in silo resulted in highly inefficient data sharing. Utilising the distributed ledger technology, we want to reduce >90{6f3b5ca5ace692369bf4704a1330bfd533e2599dde4b418ebc2aa913bbe9723c} of man-hours and costs for organisations.
The journey has been like building a plane while jumping off the cliff! We are always behind in schedule; having ready clients but no products; needing to launch in production but only had a barely working MVP. All while tackling other matters like fundraising, hiring and building our brand. It has been nerve-wrecking but we look forward to exciting times ahead.
My lightbulb advice:
Never give up, you owe it to yourself, your team and all those whom believed it you to keep going. Pivot if you need to, but remember why you started and stay true to your dreams!
I am looking for:
