Fun facts about me:
I am a barefoot runner; if I am not working you may find me running barefoot across Singapore. Running helps me in de-stressing and also teaches me a lot. Long distance running is similar to entrepreneurship, the end goal is distant but if you plan for every mile you will eventually get there; there will be times when your body & mind will want to give up but if you persevere you will ultimately reach the end destination.
The company under 20 words:
Ai Palette is an Artificial Intelligence platform for Food Product Innovation. It creates consumer winning product concepts for Food brands.
What my company name & logo means:
We are building a palette of AI solutions for the Food product innovation process, thus the name Ai Palette. The sharp edges of AI stands for cutting edge technology, and the rounded palette stands for warm hearted and inclusive culture of the company.
Why I started the company & my journey so far:
I have worked in the Food industry for a decade; during that time I have seen how product innovation is done across different food categories and markets. I realised that current product innovation process has not changed in the last 30 years; the companies are sitting on huge amounts of data but they are making very little use of it. I was confident that with the current advancement in AI & machine learning we could build a solution to make the production innovation process faster and better; thus I co-founded Ai Palette with Himanshu Upreti.
It has been an amazing journey like a roller coaster ride, every day brings in something new. I have learnt and grown significantly ever since I started Ai Palette. It is also a very emotional journey for not just me but also my family, I am lucky to have strong support of my wife and parents.
My lightbulb advice:
Entrepreneurship is very hard, before you get into it be very sure why you want to do it; if you strongly believe in something then only go for it. Don’t try entrepreneurship just because you are bored of your current job or because you think it is a quick way to get rich.
There will be times when people around you will be saying no or trashing your idea, unless you have a very strong belief in yourself it will be very difficult for you to keep going.
